Hello world!

Well, here it is!  This afternoon my daughter, Katie, told me that I needed to start a blog.  All of our family members seem to be doing blogs, so its time for me to get involved, too.  I’m not quite sure yet what I will write about, but I’ll try to keep it going.  Mostly, it may be hard to find time to post updates with my already packed schedule.  This weekend found me with no papers that needed grading, so I have had a litte extra time to do some reading and crochet.  I did have to spend some time on lesson plans, but I’d much rather plan lessons than grade papers!  Yesterday I did a lot of cleaning, and I finally have the Christmas decorations packed away.

Tomorrow morning I plan to begin my 2008 exercise program by getting to school early enough to walk in the building for at least 30 minutes before I need to be in my classroom to begin the day.  I am not looking forward to arising so early, but there seems to be no other way to fit exercise into my schedule on a regular basis.  David and I walked early in the mornings all last fall until the weather became too cold, but the past two months or so I have done little exercise.  I’m not sure about walking on Tuesday mornings, since I have cafeteria duty before school, but I hope to walk most other mornings.  I will enjoy using my new ipod while I walk, as I listen to podcasts and/or music.  If you are reading this blog, maybe you can ask me periodically about whether or not I am doing my exercise.

  1. Yeah! You’ve joined the world of blog. I will put a link to your blog on my blog. I wish I could come and walk with you (then you wouldn’t need the ipod – - or I would need my own). Maybe sometime after school.

  2. Good grief, mom! That was fast. And a total surprise! Great work! (And a lot of exclamations on my part apparently.)

  3. Hi Ann! I didn’t realize you had this new blog until I followed Carol’s link. I had a link on mine to your school website. So I’ll change that.

I also didn’t know how to get to Katie’s blog and James’ blog. Now I will have lots to read to keep up with.

  4. Great choice on the photo, mom! I love it!

  5. Ann, I’m enjoying your blog and being able to get to the rest of the families. James and Matthew have a great story going. Mom
